77 Dollars

Well hello there.

It's been a fine week. Antibiotics are however making me tired and strangely and unnaturally hungry. It will be nice to relax a bit tomorrow... if that's what happens. I still have to deposit money in the bank and walk over to SAG HQ to pay my dues, since I don't have my card to pay online. Just the continuing pain is the ass fallout from losing my wallet. You see I should have my card by now in some form, but it's not at either address the bank has and this angers me. HSBC you hear me? I'm getting pissed off. Futhermore I looked on to my checking account today to a horrible surprise, it was nearly empty. I wanted to blame someone else for this, someone somehow used my debit card before I cancelled it, not me. But it WAS me!! Damn!! Though I have other accounts with money in them, this is not good. I am well below my comfort zone. And so I will be living quite modestly for a bit until funds normalize.

Today I spent much of my time seeking out lighting for the filming of DCUP Land. Eventually I found them... deep within Chinatown. This quest left me less than ambitious for the remainder of the day... and so here I sit doing absolutely nothing except waiting for a respectable time to hit the hay.

Apparently according to this survey, I have an Inland North Dialect. How is that possible?

Your Result: The Inland North

You may think you speak "Standard English straight out of the dictionary" but when you step away from the Great Lakes you get asked annoying questions like "Are you from Wisconsin?" or "Are you from Chicago?" Chances are you call carbonated drinks "pop."

It's Pronounced Two Dick

Well let's see. First work this work... BORING!! Monday and Tuesday were on the same movie. Monday was was mostly waiting around, listening to a speech over and over and trying to beat Pres. Bush's road block. Tuesday was much of the same, except with 100 more extras and room that shrunk.

I finally went to the doctors on Wednesday and now I am recovering. Then I hung out with a friend from my old Gap days. We went to a arcade of sorts and spent hours competing in air hockey, basketball, and shoot'em'up games and then we found the game, one of those interactive games, not like wii with those nice light handle things, these were made of out metal and padding to resemble a boxing glove and probably weighed in at 3-4 pounds each. It was pretty fun and completely exhausting, in fact we had to switch up within the same rounds just to keep from dropping from an exploded heart.

Last night I went to see an improv show in midtown and to my delight Alan Tudyk (yes from Firefly and Dodgeball) was guest appearing. The show was great! The audience suggestions were great. Especially when someone shouted "Europe" for a country. Another highlight was the "Zombie Factory." It was so much fun. I love improv!

However my poor mouth hasn't had it easy the last couple of days. I bit the inside of my cheek and my lip the other day and you know when you bite inside your mouth once you end up biting it ten more times in the same spot until its all swollen and mean looking. Yeah, it's not pretty.

I'm Waiting For It To Come Out On Internet

Ok, I must be honest. I really don't feel like trying to recap the past two weeks. It was ALOT. So instead, I'm just going to use keywords and phrases, so that later on they may trigger memories for me. Kalju+ Dave = Jersey, Paintball, 4 to 1, train mishaps, girly wine, hard liquor, Arlene: Zombie Queen, stepping barefoot in puddles of Dave's vomit, scarred bottom, Bushido Blade Drinking Game, Kalju twisted in pain on the bed, Karaoke night, Sushi, both good and bad, Deadland talk at 4am, darts with a mushroom, "come on larva buddy," Love Shack Baby!, making more money by not working, battle of the punk bands, really wanting to stay for the end of a movie, the traffic weary sibling, wallet is gone forever, "I should have known better than to cripple you," Tentacles!, picking ticks off, bomb threats, fun, fun, fun and good times too.

That should be enough.

I'm sitting in my apartment, silent static from my TV, looks like I have to wait for Heroes on nbc.com.

I seriously considered using a drug rant from a hobo featured on Overheard in New York as my monologue today, hell I'm still thinking about it.

Patrick Swayze Is Totally Gangsta

Has anyone heard the hip-hop remix of the Patrick Swayze song from way back? You know the song, it's the only Patrick Swayze anyone knows. And rightly so. Anyway it was playing on the radio in the car. My sister and her family were with me. And I'm like, "is this a remix of the Patrick Swayze song." And my sister was like, "yeah I think so." And I'm like, "Imagine how this song came to be....'yo, G, Patrick's Swayze is da bomb. We should do a remix of that song from the 80's, the popular one. It'd be fucking dope!" It was something like that anyway, but funnier, much funnier, and then I had them talk about doing a Michael Bolton song next... One of those had to be there moments.
Visited my father's side today. Golf is a REALLY boring sport to watch. I know, you know, everyone knows it. Well I had to sit down to the Master's today. Not the entire thing but about the last hour of it. The only thing moreboring than watching golf on the boob tube, is listening to the winner talk about how we won the game at the end. But the 'green jacket' prize offered many a joke and so I was thankful for that. Babies are weird, I don't really know how to interact with such things.

Where's Weirdo?

Over here, Saratoga Springs, New York y'all. To the left. Down. Past the corn field. Left of the Stewart's. Hello!

I took the early train out of NYC friday and brought my bomber hat for the specific purpose of covering my head up and napping on the train. I gave myself plenty of time to get to Penn Station and find myself some breakfast. The nap was a success, one whole hour of it, leaving me with three hours to kill so I talked online for a bit and wrote some. I'm having some minor difficulties with my script, but because I think it's mostly due to the random moments of time that I spend writing it, I think now that I am making it my focus, these problems will solve themselves.
It's been a fine visit so far, nothing too exciting to right about. It's been alot of meeting new faces. My mother has a new dog, Emma, a little thing. She saved her from a shelter and the pup is understandably untrusting of new people. So it took her a few hours to get used to me, but by the end of the night, she was cuddled up next to me, napping, occasionally looking up to me and silently saying, "I don't know why, but I love you already, do you think that's silly?" And I was like, "Of course not. Now give me that lip." Her bottom lip is big and floppy and I just had to grab it a couple of times and play with it. The other addition is a Chance, my sister's new dog a rot-boxer mix. He too was pretty wary of me when we first met, especially since his momma wasn't around. But I think seeing his bother, Zeus, jumping on me non-stop, he figured I was all right, and after about 5 minutes he showed me his true self. So I had two of them jumping on me, picking fights with me, trying to a get wrestling match going. And oh did it work. Alot of my visit so far has been human and dog aerial attacks now that I think of it. And I also noticed that my mother always names her dogs people names. I find that kind of funny and sweet. I was sad to learn that my grandfather's dog, a pudgy hound named Lucky isn't doing so well. The guy would always jump up on my lap to say hello, but he's not moving around so well anymore and he has a kind of sad look in his eyes. This is alot of dog talk I know, but my family is all pretty crazy about dogs, between three households, there are 7 dogs. And because I don't have any when I come here I spent about 90 percent of my time on the ground with my canine brother, sister and nephews, either playing or letting them sit on me. Something Max, a lambradoodle does that reminds me of a dog no longer with us.

I went out to Walmart with my sister and nieces yesterday. Since I am known in my family for being equal parts smart ass/goof ball/weirdo, I decided I would act like a kid the entire time we were in the store. Picking fights with my older niece, so we'd be kicking each other back and forth until Jodi would say something, then I'd give her, "WELL SHE STARTED IT" and pick at my niece again to get her going. Pretty much anything to embarrass my sister.

Other than that, I've just been going house to house for dinners, making the rounds. Received a bunch of birthday cards that have been waiting around for me, but I opened them in private as I hate opening gifts around people. Haven't done anything relating to Easter, nor am I going to. Been avoiding ground beef and the like. Someone died in the family yesterday, though I didn't know him that well, I felt bad for other people.

Kalju contacted me, he's home...for two weeks!! I relayed the message and it looks like everyone is moving into position. IM SO FUCKING EXCITED. I cant wait to see my friends. I really can't wait. I so wish these people lived next to me, even in the same state...or country!!! I'm hoping we get a good paintball match going on, a good brawl and plenty o' drinks.

I'm going home tomorrow. I was thinking of staying until Tuesday, but I have to come back upstate later this month anyway and I have stuff I need to get done. Plus my mind is going other places anyway and I'm starting to feel shitty, so I just want to be productive, so at least I feel good about that. I just feel like there's a huge chunk of my life gone and that I'm not the same person without it...but yeah I said I wasn't going to get negative so it's time to stop... which reminds me, I've found out when you babysit a 10yr old and a six yr old, you say "stop it" more times than you ever have or want to in your life!! I don't remember ever getting into so many fights with MY sister.... though my mother tells me we did. And I do remember dented walls and butcher knives.

They Call Themselves "House of Chicks"

A couple of my friends got word that I know Brekken 360 of DCUP and they were dying to record something with him. So a couple of unmentionable favors later and they were afforded a couple of sessions with the rap mastermind this week. Apparently they're nearly done with a track, I guess it's pending a new vocal track from rapper TMB. Perhaps I can get them to allow us a sneak peek before it's officially released. I heard it's called "Project X" and the band's name is "House of Chicks." And I understand that Brekken 360 is somewhat unleashed on it. So we'll see.

It's been a miserably slow week. No work. But there are some things I am looking forward to

Seeing family - I really have been needing that lately

Seeing friends - Kalju is on leave sometime soon and Dave, Clancy and I are all preparing to partake in various themes of madness.

Drive - A new series on Fox. At first I didn't care at all about it, then the music for the previews started catching my attention, then I found out Nathan Fillion of Firefly is a main character and a writer and producer from Firefly is also working on it. Suddenly my interest is SPARKED. It premiers April 15 I believe, a sunday.

I've decided that I really need to focus on my script, because I am really feeling optimistic about it. All I need to do is hone my attention into this week. Well I go upstate tomorrow for my niece's birthday party on Saturday, not sure when I'm coming back, probably Tuesday if I don't get a call from work.
